In this Illustration, I wanted to show the concept of dissociation

It's a part of my SI where I am trying to illustrate different aspects of OCD, not just the recovery process since you need to grasp an idea of concepts like obsessions, compulsions, dissociation, etc. My goal is to give the viewer a feel for different experiences that people experience.

In this specific piece, I wanted to embody the feeling of disconnection you experience, alongside the "noise", or "visual snow" that many experiences while dissociating.

MATERIALS

I used digital as a way to incorporate a "noise" effect, which is the focal concept of this illustration. I had to mess around with different editing and visual effects within procreate to achieve an effect that I found "right"
